Geo Horizons turns the models behind our project work into tools that scientists, planners and restoration practitioners can run themselves.
WEMo maps the waves the wind raises in bays, estuaries, sounds and lakes. Draw an area on the map and it works out wave height, wave energy and the forces on the seabed for every site, using depth and decades of hourly wind it fetches for you. No wave-modelling training needed.
Built on the model Amit Malhotra and Mark Fonseca published at NOAA in 2007, and checked against the SWAN wave model and 31 wave buoys. Free during early access.
Shallow-water depth maps from space, anywhere on Earth. SeeBed estimates water depth from Sentinel-2 and Landsat imagery and calibrates it with NOAA BlueTopo, ICESat-2 or your own survey points, so you can map nearshore depths where no recent survey exists.

BOMO maps the wake that boat traffic sends to every point along a shoreline and how much wave energy it delivers each day. Set a route and a mix of boats, and it traces each wake over the real depths to the shore, so you can see where waterway traffic adds to shoreline erosion. Checked against the FUNWAVE and SWASH wave models on the Intracoastal Waterway, and available for any stretch of US coast covered by NOAA's coastal elevation models.
